DirectDVD processing engine now doubles the amount of EQ Bands- with over 31 Bands of Eq and each Channel in a cast can be edited as an individual EQ Engine. In simple terms- every speaker you have in your surround sound system can have its own 31 band EQ - with smart memory and Preamp-

This is one of the most spectacular DVD Audio Processors- and is sure to satisfy your listening pleasure!

Speaker EQ works with a number of Audio Plug-Ins sets, including:
Smart Memory - Preset any configuration on any number of speakers and Orion Studios will memorize each speakers EQ settings. This type of processing is found on expensive audio equipment and for the first time you are able to use DirectDVD to accomplish this task. Home Entertainment can be tailored to your audio setup, and unlike single channel EQ- each speaker can have its own set processor.
Professional Audio has reached DirectDVD, and for the only available 17.1 Surround Sound Processor, our Development has brought Audio Perfection directly to our users. The entire aspect of having 558 Bands, including a backend 17.1 Engine is just what type of an approach you can expect from Orion. Movies are meant to be enjoyed and for users who expect high standards in Audio, you can find no other technology available then DirectDVD. The Sophistication of tailoring each speaker to your desired output, and mixing in both real-time and Offline - is just what most Movie Savvy users expect.

We decided early in production to avoid the usual 31 bands on single DVD 5.1- 7.1 ect.. It just did not meet our expectation to layer audio directly from every single independent channel. The result was more dry then expressive. Using a 5.1-9.1 system- you can find that directing audio and editing Equalization on channels provides you with a ear for mastering your audio.

Expressions in Room quality vary from user to user! Some users will have systems that far exceed those with just standard 2 channel speakers- This is where Development decided that concentrating on 5.1 or 9.1 as a single body, meant users would find this technology useless and out of reach. Our team went in and made sure that the user using 17.1 speakers - to the user using 2 channel audio - could have the same experience.

The 31 Band EQ- is located in the bottom left Video/Audio Board- it includes the outlined features and also has a direct (Enable/Disable) assigned by the Main Effects Drop
Channels can be assigned and DB Ranges linked in the interface. Interface in DirectDVD is displayed by clicking the View Interface button-
On some version releases of DirectDVD - compatibility with SPDIF and DTS will be available. Custom versions for SDK Developers may also contain port access to these effects. Presets can be saved and recalled at anytime during the session- you do not have to be running content for the Channels to save. DirectDVD utilizes a default setting to allow a specific Development preset to override the interface - you can call this preset (reset each speaker) by selecting the default set.

Your Home Theater will now have the technology it needs to customize your channels. The package is an impressive set of tools for your Surround Sound Equalization Processing!
