DirectDVD HD Introduces us to the new Global Mixer - using Microsoft Windows Sound Controller- DirectDVD bridges the gaps between Audio Mixing and DVD Playback. Developed and expanded on since 2001 - DirectDVD has been working on a systematic way to avoid having to deal with Windows Sound Controls, while viewing content. Our goal was simple, bring them both into the player, freeing the user from multiple windows and sound card mixers!
DirectDVD builds a relationship with your sound card. Using special component technology, users can activate specified speakers, controllers, and volume controls directly in the program. Values are assigned and stored for later call back-
Global Mixer in general, controls all aspects of your sound card Input/Output. Its controls are laid out so the end user visually can see the most important manager, but leaves the user free to change the components at any time. Components are controls that are assigned (mapped) to every audio channel in Windows Audio Mapper. Most DVD Players provide a standard Audio Volume control, but DirectDVD moves beyond this, with powerful Windows Mapping.

Speakers and Digital outputs also can be accessed - the speakers are assigned by Global Mixer and recalled from session to session. Channel Board details provides users with access to vital sound card details and information. Device Capabilities and Card counts can allow Audio Calibration on a new level.

Global Mixer Main - was designed to free you from using Windows Sound Control, - you have the control now directly in the DirectDVD HD program.

Monitored Output- Gains and presets are stored in DirectDVD memory, waiting to be recalled during sessions. From SPDIF, WaveOut, RecordIn ect.. all are real time processed and recalled-
As with other DirectDVD HD Components, the Global Mixer works sequentially with both 3rd party plug-ins and DirectDVD internals. Mixing and Spectrums will share data to bring audio data to all the built in effects. Board layout can also minimize the exposure of the Audio Mixer, as DirectDVD allows Boards to be Enabled/Disabled. You can set the main look and feel at start time- and then subsequent sessions will share the display data.
