HX Color- (Hollywood Color) - is the latest in color controls developed by Orion Studios.
Using 32-64 Bit Processing (DirectX) - HX represents the latest in the next generation of color controls for DVD. With its scalability for future plug-ins, the HX expands what is available for Color in DVD- Control RGB - directly in (2) panels-
Upgrade to future plug-ins for advance color wheel and pallet layouts. DirectDVD development is working closely with Lead Tools to add future plug-ins directly in the DirectDVD interface.
With HX Color- you get (2) Control Panels-
Control panel (A) is the DVD Decoder Color- which handles DVD Color directly- you can double up the effects using the secondary control panel by just adjusting the sliders. DirectDVD Movie player will use the (B) control panel- The controls are organized so that you can access the most common and dramatic changes instantly. Brightness, Red, Blue, and Gamma - provide users with an assortment of Color Correction tools.
The Pallet boxes are ready for Orion Studios or Third Party Plug-In filters. Developers will soon have a SDK package to gain control over many features like Color/Film/Audio control in the weeks to come. The open architecture of DirectDVD will be a realization of allowing full graphics controls directly into the hands of our users.

DirectDVD uses a second control panel for direct Video Window Color management. In this window, you are able to make changes that will double over the control panel (A). Using the control panel, any changes are auto-memorized in memory for session to session based Movies. Subsequent editions of DirectDVD had certain restrictions on DVD color control- which have all been modified for this version. The simplicity in moving slider and panning Brightness/Contrast and Gamma- allows Monitors that may not be calibrated to have stunning effect colors. DirectDVD's HX Color Control system is a powerful advance in DVD Color Management!
