DirectDVD's Main Gateway to DVD Playback starts off with the Main Options panel. Designed to give direct access to Startup/Video Screen size- Installed Plug-ins and Movie Modes. DirectDVD is configured at a default setup of 1280x1024 so Aspect and Screen size will be coordinated from first run. If you access DirectDVD at a smaller screen size- DirectDVD will auto set the screen to the preferred size. The major feature of this updated version is the ability to visually present movies with a consistent look to all users. Many of the configurations below can be changed and memorized for the next startup- so please do read each setting clearly - and/or read details also in the DirectDVD help files section under the Main Options Control Panel!
Screen Manager was designed to keep the development preferred aspect of 1280x1024 in check at startup. The program will check to make sure that your current configurations match the display requirements to present DirectDVD during playback. Do not worry if your screen size does not match the preferred, DirectDVD will coordinate that with your monitor during the start up sequence-

Later editions will have more of an updated display guide- so please do check for updates periodically.

DirectDVD has (2) Modes by which Movies can be played - (1=DVD Mode) (2=Standard Playback Movies) - Once set in DVD(1) mode- DirectDVD will make adjustments to the program allowing DVD features to be present. If the mode is (2=Standard Playback Movie) - DirectDVD will select the Audio Plug-ins that will match that mode. Basically, DirectDVD manages filters/plug-ins that each mode can accompany-
Movie Aspect Modes- New in DirectDVD HD is the ability to Visually see the guides which represent the current Aspect Ratio. DirectDVD allows you to change and keep the Screen stretching capabilities. With Aspect ratio modes- you have the ability to visually see on a computer the (full picture) (what aspect the original film makers filmed the production) - Visually seeing the modes and changing is entirely up to the users taste and screen capabilities.
Orion Studios is currently working on a SDK package so developers can drop additional 3rd party components directly into the interface- Current Plug-ins at the time of development/or subsequent version updates may display different details- Always stay tuned to Orion Studios.com for the latest updates- or run your Update Manager directly in DirectDVD-
