SRS TruSurround XT
TruSurround XT is the latest in the family of TruSurround Technologies. Based upon its patented predecessor and namesake, TruSurround XT also solves the problem of playing 5.1 multi-channel content over two speakers or headphones, but it goes further. TruSurround XT utilizes proprietary algorithms from SRS Labs combined with Dialog Clarity Enhancement and Trubass to provide listeners with a truely immersive audio experience. As signals are processed with TruSurround XT, Dialog Clarity is applied first. TruSurround then rendersmulti-channel signals in such a way as to take advantage of the human hearing system and create anencompassing sound field. Once the two-channel output is generated, those channels are processed withTruBass.
Dialog Clarity - TruSurround XT includes an exciting new audio technique that acts much like a lens does for vision, bringing movie dialog into “focus” during the playback of any surround-encoded material such as DVD movies and satellite and cable television programs. TruBass - TruSurround XT uses SRS TruBass technology to create incredible cinema-like bass from all speaker types, including headphones. This patented technique, enhances bass performance using proprietary psychoacoustic techniques. By selectively boosting a series of low bass harmonics, TruBass restores the perception of low frequency tones, providing a deep, rich bass experience.
